The Chromatic Dragon was a synthetic dragon of legend created by Word Paynn. First he created an artificial bone-mark, using shards of pure crystalline draconium from all 12 colours of draconium. He then proceeded to hire the Army of the Dragon Crew to steal one dragon of each of these 12 colours. Using Brutaris as the mount, he placed the bone-mark on him, which opened up to act as a mag-attracting antennae, and extracted mag energy from all the other dragons to help mutate and evolve Brutaris into the Chromatic Dragon. As the Chromatic Dragon, his physical form was unstable and his scales would change colours often. Eventually the bone-mark is destroyed, and Brutaris returns to normal.
